Historic cottage with harbour views

This two bedroomed cottage C.1880 is located on a stunning site 3 min drive from the car ferry. Stroll to the cafe, art gallery, pub, dairy, post office, RSA or bowls club. Take in the heritage walk around the village or just unwind with far reaching views in front of you.Refurbished in recent years this is a very tidy cottage. Whilst it's a good place to rest if passing through it also makes an excellent base to discover Northland's history, beaches and walks. An excellent stopover on Northland's Twin Coast Cycle Trail, Pou Herenga Tai.Previously known as ‘Beach Road Cottage’ the cottage has been renamed ‘Orowaru’ to better reflect the surrounding area and acknowledge Māori heritage. Orowaru means ‘sound of rippling water’. You will hear the cottage keep its namesake as you lie in bed listening to the gentle waves of the Harbour ripple by outside.
